The Bible is our main text book for Sunday School and to aid in it's study the Family Bible Series Sunday School material is used. Sunday Morning Worship Service It is the desire of Freedom Baptist Church to meet the spiritual needs of every person who attends Worship service here. During the Worship hour the choir leads in both contemporary and traditional music. Rev. Byrd preaches sermons through which spiritual decisions can be reached. At the close of every service, time is allowed for spiritual decisions and prayer. Come worship with us! Wednesday Night Service Wednesday night Prayer meetings are a time when we at Freedom come together to pray for the needs of our church, our community, and our leaders. It is also a time when we study and reflect on God's word and what it means to our lives. Challengers Is our older missions group for young men 7th grade through 12th grade. This group learns about missions and how to be involved in mission work and projects. The Challengers meet each Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. RA's Is our younger boys mission group, grades 1st through 6th, like the older boys they study about missions and how to be involved in mission work and projects. These younger boys gladly help the Challengers in mission work when called upon. They also meet every Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. Acteens Is our mission group for young ladies 7th grade through 12th grade. These young ladies learn about missions and how to be involved in mission work and projects. The Acteens meet each Wednesday night at 7:00 PM . GA's Is our younger girls mission group, grades 1st through 6th, like the older girls they too learn about missions and mission work. They meet every Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. Mission Friends Is our youngest group of children, ages 3 to 5 years, they study the Bible, do crafts, and begin small mission projects within our church fellowship. They meet every Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. Women's Missionary Union There are two circle groups at Freedom that make up the WMU, they are the Baptist Young Women and the Baptist Women. These ladies give sunshine baskets to those who are sick and in the hospital or nursing homes. They also serve meals to families with extended sickness, and meals to families who are bereaved. The WMU has an organized prayer chain that can be activated with a telephone call. Each month they have a mission project that have included ministries such as: The Rape Crisis Center of Fayetteville, New South River Baptist Association Toy Store, Mingo Baptist Spanish Mission, Food Bank of Sampson County, Care Bears for the Sampson County Sheriff's Department, New South River Baptist Association Beatitude House, Samaritan's Purse, Baptist Children's Home, and Hurricane Floyd Relief just to name a few. Baptist Men The Brotherhood of Freedom meet once a month to reach out to the active men of our church and inactive men in our community with a fellowship breakfast on the first Sunday morning of the month at 8 AM. They work around the church and community to clean yards, do repair jobs, and minister to the needs around us. They are also involved in many community fund raising causing such as Andy's Special Friends and Relay for Life. Deacon Family Ministry There are eight deacons that serve Freedom Baptist Church at all times. Each of these deacons have families for whom they are responsible. The deacons are asked to visit in the home, send appropriate cards, visit in the hospital, and pray for each of their families. Our deacons also make regular Sunday afternoon visits in the community.
